What is KeyBard?
KeyBard is a lightweight macOS menu bar utility that allows you to play any Audio Unit (AU) instrument plugin using a MIDI keyboard. It's designed to be a simple and quick way to test out sounds or practice without needing to open a full Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
Does KeyBard come with AudioUnit plugins?
No. Although it will magically scan your computer for installed plugins, it doesn't ship with plugins of its own.
How does KeyBard respect my privacy?
In short, all MIDI and audio data processed by KeyBard happens in real-time, exclusively on your device. This data is never stored, recorded, or transmitted off your machine by the App. For more information, please refer to our privacy policy.
